COVID-19 Travel News and Updates

It is recommended that all participants review the latest advice from the Korea Government with regards to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
* Depending on the situation of COVID-19, travel restrictions will be updated as changed *
*Participants currently are not required to get COVID 19 vaccinated. However, APAA2022 highly encourage, where possible.
: From May 2, the outdoor mask mandate is optional, but for the events, more than 50 people, are required it. The indoor wearing mask mandate is still maintained.
Personal Hygiene Guidelines
: Registrants keep personnel distance each other, to observe cough etiquette, and wash hands frequently.
Duty to self-monitoring and to tell
: Registrants do self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 before and after conference (typically symptoms are fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, or feeling unwell) and let staffs know your typical condition. For better health and safety, they will not be allowed to participate in other events until negative result is verified. Participates can contact medical clinic for PCR test of onsite COVID-19 Rapid Testing anytime If they feel unwell.

The Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO) has maintained safety and disinfection protocols. In addition, BEXCO is also following facility disinfection guidelines:
To sterilize convention Once a day
To ventilate convention twice a day
To place hand sanitizer stations
To train staffs personal hygiene and the quarantine guidelines frequently
For Overseas Entrants
Short-term Korea entrants are required to submit a negative PCR result. No quarantine, regardless of vaccination history or visa type.

All travelers entering the Republic of Korea are required to submit pre-departure negative COVID-19 PCR test, issued within 48 hours, (or a supervised Rapid Antigen Test, issued within 24 hours)results upon arrival. It must be written or translated by Korean or English.
We are planning to have a COVID-19 test booth in BEXCO for entering and departing Korea. The detailed information will be updated soon.

: When overseas entrants input the quarantine information in the system (Q-CODE) and receive a QR-Code before the entry, prompt quarantine services will be provided. The references (PCR test result, quarantine exemption) must be written or translated by Korean or English.

Immigration Regulations
It is required to have a PCR test within 24 hours after entering the country. It can be taken at the COVID-19 Testing Center inside the Incheon International Airport or at a medical clinic. It is possible to use public transportation for moving, however, should stand by until the result come out.
- Testing and Resulting time: 6 hours – 1 day
- Preparation material: A passport
- Cost: At least 100,000 – 130,000 KRW (79 - 102 USD)
- Each hospitals have interpreters or English-speaking medical staffs
- Applications are accepted on site.
To test Rapid Antigen test (RAT) on the 6-7 days after entering is accepted with self-test kit.

Registrants should take entry restriction and requirements such as any certifications, certificate of inoculations, and self-quarantine on their website embassy or airline’s customer service before entering.
